Join In on the 2022 Emerald Isle Marathon
The highly anticipated Emerald Isle Marathon is coming up soon, on October 22, 2022. Whether you’re a serious runner looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon or want to push yourself on a gorgeous course, don’t miss out on the fun! How Difficult Are the Emerald Isle Marathon Courses?
The pace requirement is 6 hours, after which the courses will close. There will be pacers carrying signs in uniformed shirts after 3:05, 3:30, 4:00, and 5:00 hours. The course will be mostly flat, and the temperatures shouldn’t be too warm. In the morning, it will likely be in the 40s and then warm up to the 60s as the day continues.
Safety is a top priority at the Emerald Isle Marathon. There will be stations throughout the course offering snacks, water, and Gatorade. There will also be medical professionals there in case anything happens where their services are needed. There will be an RN and multiple EMTS located at mile 18. The Emerald Isle EMS, an MD, and RN will be at the start and finish line.
The Different 2022 Emerald Isle Marathon Courses
The Emerald Isle Marathon will start at 101 Islander Dr. Emerald Isle, NC, US 28594, and is both USATF Certified and a Boston Qualifier. To compete in the Emerald Isle Marathon, sign up by October 18 for one of the course options listed below:
5K Course: This option is $25 per participant. It begins at 8:45 a.m. EDT and ends at 1:00 p.m. EDT. The USATF certification number for this course is NC14029DF.
Half Marathon Course: This option is $70 per participant. It begins at 8:35 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. The USATF certification number for this course is NC14031DF.
Full Marathon Course: This option is $90 per participant. It begins at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. The USATF certification number for this course is NC14106DF.
The 2022 Emerald Isle Marathon Prizes
All Emerald Isle Marathon participants will get an official Emerald Isle Marathon T-shirt. The half and full marathon participants will receive medals after making it past the finish line. There will also be awards based on age groups for all three races. All participants are welcome to join the after-party at The Growler Taproom starting at 10 a.m.
